Repertoire
AG I
Stylistically different repertoire
Duration of the performance: AG Ia – 10 Minutes, AG Ib 10 – 13 Minutes
Pieces from the video round can be repeated.
AG II
Stylistically different repertoire
Duration of the performance: 15 Minutes
Pieces from the 1st and 2.nd round can be repeated.
AG III
Stylistically different repertoire inclusive the obligatory piece (*2 – max. 3 Minutes) one piece from Cello suite by J. S. Bach. Duration of the performance: 20 Minutes
Pieces from the 1st and 2. round can be repeated.
Stylistically different repertoire inclusive one piece by Keiko Abe and other piece from Violin sonata or partita by J. S. Bach. Duration of the performance: 25 Minutes
Pieces from the 1st and 2nd round can be repeated. Is not allowed to play the same repertoire as in the semi-final round.
AG V
Stylistically different repertoire inclusive one choice piece from the submitted list (*3) and other piece from Violin sonata or partita by J. S. Bach. Duration of the performance: 30 Minutes
Pieces from the 1st and 2nd round can be repeated. Is not allowed to play the same repertoire as in the semi-final round.
Marimba Festiva
General Information
Up to 28-Year-old
Prizes of total value of max. 12.000 €
The competition is targeted at young Marimba Soloists and is aimed at five age groups up to 28 years old.
Separate Registration and separate Fee for each ages group.
50% discount for the Members of Marimba Festiva Association (Semifinal and Final).
Marimba pieces with Audio – Accompaniment can be NOT performed just during the ONLINE Competition.
Contestants will be attached to certain age groups according to the date of the Video Round (15th November 2020)
AG I – till 15 years (AG Ia till 13 years, AG Ib till 15 years)
Two rounds will be hold.
AG II – till 18 years
Three rounds will be hold.
AG III – till 21 years
Three rounds will be hold.
AG IV – till 25 years
Four rounds will be hold.
AG V – till 28 years
Four rounds will be hold.

Awards and honours
Every participant receives a participation certificate.
The best participants may be awarded prizes of total value of max. 12.000 €.
Travel expenses and lodging
The competitors’ will not be reimbursed.
Instruments
The list of competition provides instruments will be find under: www.marimba-festiva.de after 15th of December 2020.
Order of the appearances
The order of the appearances will be announced per Mail one week before the competition.
Duties of the participants
The participants are expected to participate in all performances and the final presentation ceremony. It is also expected for participants to participate in all audio and video recordings, as well as in reproductions and TV and radio broadcasts.
Making unauthorized audio- and/or video recordings of the competition, of individual pieces, of concerts or of any other part of the event is prohibited.
Safety measures
The organizer is undertaking all necessary precautions to ensure the well-being and safety during the competition. Liability claims against the organizer from damages against persons or items during the competition, as well as while travelling to and from the competition are excluded. Participants acknowledge this by their registration.
